When looking to detect where energy is lost, a process of thermal imaging will normally take place and this will pick up on;

  • heat loss in doors, windows, floors, ceilings, and walls
  • compressor leaks in air conditioning system
  • damage within a heating system
  • damaged seals on double-paned windows
  • any defects in the structure of a building that will lead to inefficiencies when it comes to energy

Furthermore, an infrared camera will also pick up on moisture so can locate;

  • leaks in the roof that have the potential to cause serious damage
  • leaks in the plumbing
  • damaged or wet insulation
