No one wants to talk about it, but winter is here. Are you ready?
That may seem like a strange question. Here in New Hampshire, we are always ready! But if you are a new home or building owner, there is more to being ready for winter than a good coat and boots.
When it comes to your building, there are a few things you can do to get ready. One of the first things you can do is to winterize your hose bibs. This means disconnecting the hoses, shutting the water off on the inside, and even putting a cover over them. Even if you have frost free hose bibs you should still do this.
Another thing to consider is your fuel level, seeing how much wood you have (if applicable) and planning for the months to come. It is also good to take a look around and see where there are gaps in your insulation. All it takes is one cold night to freeze some pipes.
One of the best things about winter, thermal cameras make it easier to find the energy leaks. So let’s work hard and get ready for winter, and contact us to schedule a thermal scan of your home or building.
